What kinds of computers can I use to play poker?
Currently we support all standard versions of Microsoft Windows
from Windows 98 forward,
except for Win NT 4.0, which
will be supported soon.
We have tested the client software on older, slower systems with not much memory.
How much memory should my computer have?
We have successfully run the client on Windows
98 on a first generation Pentium chip running at
133 Mhz with 48 Mb RAM
(memory). The poker room
software does not require much
memory but older, slower systems will
generally have problems if you are running other applications at the same time.
If you want to run other
applications at the same time
as the poker room, you will have to experiment to learn what your particular configuration can support.
Are there any graphics requirements for my computer?
You will need a system that supports
800x600 graphics settings.
You will have a much more enjoyable
experience if you set your
display to 1024 x 768 or
higher. You must use
the High color (16
bit) color choices
setting, or greater.Our
graphics will not load with
your computer at the 256 color
setting.
How much space should my hard drive have?
Your hard drive must also have
12 Mb free space to install the client.
Have you seen any other
problems? Well, yes we
have. There are so many
programs in use today that we
cannot test all
combinations. We have
seen systems with other
applications that prevent the
poker room software from
running properly. In
most of these cases, the poker
software did not start.
We would certainly appreciate
hearing from you if you have
such problems so that we can
investigate and help. Most
users experience no download
or installation problems.
